Carol Burks Stokes, 65, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at her residence in Louisville, Mississippi. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 7, 2016, in the Nowell Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marlon Adcock officiating. Ms. Stokes was born March 5, 1950, to William and Christine Lang Burks. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Hardy; and two grandchildren, Hailey and Hayden Hardy all of Plainwell, Michigan. Also left to mourn her passing is her two sisters, Joyce Eaves and Linda Trosper both of Louisville; and her brother Kenny Burks and wife, Mary, of Plainwell; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Buddy Burks and Jimmy Burks. Memorials may be given to Nowell Massey Funeral Home to help defray final expenses. Services are under the direction of Nowell-Massey Funeral Home, 724 North Columbus Avenue, Louisville, MS.
