Ms. Elvie White Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ms. Maxine Elvie White, 89, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2011, at the Winston Medical Center Nursing Home in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 11, 2011, at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phil Fancher and Rev. Billy Bowie officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, 2011, at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home. Born on September 17, 1921, Ms. White was a retired clerk at Charley McCool's Pharmacy and she was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Ms. White is survived by her brother, Sherrell Levet White and wife, Kathleen, of Louisville, Mississippi; three nieces, Judy Cother and husband, Bill, of Tupelo, Mississippi, Jeanith Burdine and husband, Bobby, of Ackerman, Mississippi, and Margaret White of Forest, Mississippi; and one nephew, Jack White and wife, Terri, of Bay Springs, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Mabrey and Jennie Mary Varner White and a sister, Jeanith Modene White. Pallbearers will be Andrew Miller, Steven Miller, Randy Hill, Don Chancellor, Bill Cother, and Jesse Cother. Memorials may be made to the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
